The production processes of biodegradable bag raw materials mainly include the following:

Direct esterification method: Terephthalic acid (PTA), adipic acid (AA), and 1,4-butanediol (BDO) are directly esterified under the action of a catalyst to produce polybutylene terephthalate (PBAT).

Ester exchange method: First, dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) is subjected to ester exchange reaction with 1,4-butanediol to produce 1,4-butanediol terephthalate, and then condensed with adipic acid to produce PBAT.

Blending method: PBAT is blended with other biodegradable materials such as polylactic acid (PLA), starch, etc. to improve its properties.

Grafting method: other functional monomers are grafted onto PBAT molecular chains through grafting reaction to endow them with special properties.

In addition, the production process also includes pre-treatment of raw materials, control of reaction conditions, separation and purification of products, and other steps.
